Quality Assurance Technician

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will support the Quality/Value Manager for analysis to improve safety, utilization, value delivery, productivity and cost results. You will be accountable for supporting the development and design of quality control solutions to improve the quality, safety, and manufacturing performance of the mill.
This role will introduce talented individuals to a variety of manufacturing experiences while developing them for future placement. This is a full-time exempt position supporting Bruce, MS Lumber operations.
Key Functions
Accountable for the continuous monitoring of the quality of products and the optimization of the product and processes in response to current operating conditions
Analyze and interpret data, evaluates performance and reliability of processes/products, and provides immediate feedback and recommendations on problems and opportunities
Serve as an on-call resource available for non-scheduled (emergency) assistance as mill needs arise
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision while establishing effective positive relationships with production associates.
Additional assignments may include:
Learning production processes
Facilitating process reliability efforts
Completing leadership training courses
Shadowing experienced leaders
Bachelor's Degree (or higher), preferably in the electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering, process control or related field
Related experience in a wood products environment preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Time management and multi-tasking skills
Strong computer knowledge and proficiency
Must be willing to work weekend duty on a rotating basis and overtime on shutdowns to meet goals
Willing to take assignments in operations to support the needs of the business and to further personal development
Travel is required
The following qualifications are preferred:
Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher preferred
Knowledge of manufacturing processes

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
